Christopher Reiche is a performer, composer, and instructor living in Victoria, British Columbia. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2006 having studied composition with Linda C. Smith and Peter Hatch, and piano with Anya Alexeyev. He then moved to Victoria where he completed his Masters of Music in composition with Christopher Butterfield and Anna Höstman.
His compositions range from pieces for solo performer to works for larger ensembles and have been performed by Quatuor Bozzini, The Vancouver Miniaturist Ensemble, Emily Carr String Quartet, Michael Strutt and Eric Wilson, Negative Zed Ensemble, Pembroke Symphony Orchestra, and orkest de ereprijs. His string quartet, The length of this piece is not arbitrary – Painting a Portrait of Glass, was recorded by Quatuor Bozzini and released on their CD, À chacun sa miniature.
